Mark is an Audit Partner at Purvis, Gray and Company, LLP. With over 37 years of audit experience, Mark's career has focused on providing auditing services to a wide variety of clients and industries with concentration in local governments, health care, public utilities, and not-for-profits. In the governmental industry he works extensively with Florida municipalities, counties, school boards, and a wide variety of special districts including municipal and cooperative electric generation, transmission, and distribution systems. He serves on the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Special Review Committee for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and has helped many clients obtain and maintain this prestigious award. Mark has participated in Single Audits covering hundreds of federal and state grant programs; he also works with numerous not-for-profit health care clients.

Mark graduated from the University of South Florida College of Business Administration in 1977, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree; Major in Accounting. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Florida Governmental Finance Officers Association (FGFOA), Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA), and GFOA.

Mark currently serves on the FGFOA Technical Resource Committee, University of South Florida School of Accounting Advisory Council, the College of Central Florida Accounting Advisory Committee, and he has recently served on the College of Central Florida Public Policy Institute.

Mark has been a regular speaker at the FGFOA, FICPA, and FACC conferences and has authored numerous articles for the FGFOA Newsletter and CPA Today Magazine.

When away from work, Mark is an avid outdoorsman and sportsman with interests in saltwater fishing and boating, SCUBA diving, hiking, camping, basketball, and golf.
