Eric Benton is a Director, working out of the Gainesville office of Purvis Gray, and has over 23 years of accounting experience.

Eric Benton’s experience includes providing tax preparation and advisory services to a wide variety of clients, including individuals, small- to medium-sized businesses, not-for-profit organizations, trusts, and estates. His experience covers a broad range of industries including real estate, manufacturing, medical and dental professionals, construction, restaurants, and automobile leasing. Eric also has experience in representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service.

Eric Benton earned Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degrees from the University of Florida. He is licensed as a CPA in the State of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Eric has spoken to numerous groups on a variety of tax and accounting topics, including electronic filing, trust, estate and gift taxation, including teaching continuing professional education.

Eric Benton is a current member and Past President of the Estate Planning Council of North Central Florida. Eric is also a current member, and Past Captain, of the Gainesville Quarterback Club.
