HR Coordinator

 

Location:  Gainesville, Florida (or nearest Purvis Gray office)

Job Type:  Full-time | Entry-Level | In-Office Required

 

About the Role:

Purvis Gray is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support our firmwide recruiting and HR function. This role will focus on both campus recruiting coordination and experienced hire support, serving as the operational hub for scheduling, job posting, candidate communications, and reporting.

As the first point of contact for many applicants and external partners, this person will play a key role in creating a professional and engaging candidate experience. You’ll also help manage recruiting platforms (like LinkedIn and Indeed), facilitate relationships with university career centers and external recruiters, and track key hiring metrics.

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and attend campus recruiting events, career fairs, and student outreach initiatives at Florida universities

  • Support scheduling of interviews across intern, entry-level, and experienced roles (virtual and in-person)

  • Manage the recruiting inbox and respond to candidate and recruiter inquiries professionally

  • Post job openings on LinkedIn, Indeed, university portals, and the Purvis Gray careers page

  • Maintain accurate recruiting records, candidate trackers, and reporting in Excel or other firm tools

  • Partner with university career centers and faculty to promote job opportunities and strengthen relationships

  • Support candidate pre-hire logistics such as background checks, offer paperwork, and onboarding prep

  • Assist in coordinating communication with external recruiters and managing preferred vendor lists

  • Generate reports on candidate pipeline, time-to-fill, and recruiting source effectiveness

  • Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and special recruiting initiatives

  • Assist in Talent Management process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology or related field (completed or in progress)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn applicant tracking/reporting systems

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a high level of professionalism

  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for in-state campus events (mileage reimbursed)
