Audit and Accounting Assistant – Technical Typist

About the Position
We currently have an opening for a Technical Typist in our Ocala office. We are seeking a team oriented individual who is very meticulous. The technical typing team is responsible for the quality control of all communications from the firm. This team ensures the accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency of all communications; all of which are vital to acquiring and retaining clientele. Additionally, team members work closely with each partner, manager, and staff member of the firm, as well as with each other, to ensure ideas are properly translated, all pertinent information is imparted, and all communications are finalized in a timely manner.
Technical Typist Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
■ Types correspondence, financial statements, proposals, and marketing materials from hard copy, or computer-generated copy, accurately and timely using Microsoft Word and Excel.
■ Updates existing word processing records to accommodate changes in material on file.
■ Catalogs and files work in computer directories for read access by staff.
■ Proofreads and corrects drafts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and addition in order to produce error-free work.
■ Formats graphics for inclusion in typed materials as requested.
■ Assists and/or trains staff in word processing skills.
■ Copies, collates, and binds typed materials.

Education and other Requirements
■ High School Diploma or Equivalent
■ Should be Proficient in Microsoft Office, Including Excel, Word, and Outlook
■ Detail Oriented and Able to Multitask
■ Strong Grammar and Math Skills
■ Experience Creating/Editing PDFs Preferred
