As an Audit and Assurance Partner at Purvis Gray, Helen Painter specializes in audits of local governments, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profits, including tax preparation. Her expertise also includes federal and state single audits, agreed upon procedures engagements, reviews and compilations, and best practices regarding proper internal controls. Helen serves as a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Review Acceptance Board and the FICPA Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee.  

Helen received her master’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1994. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), FICPA, and Florida Governmental Finance Officers Association (FGFOA). Helen has also earned the designation of Competent Toastmaster.

In her spare time, Helen is actively involved in Meadowbrook Church. She enjoys breeding and raising Thoroughbred horses and is a member of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association. She also uses her family’s farm to grow an assortment of vegetables for community outreach. During the week, she works out at her favorite gym, Orange Theory, and enjoys lap swimming at the local YMCA.
