Purvis Gray is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing Assurance Services team. In this role, you’ll lead fieldwork for audit engagements, supervise and mentor junior staff, and serve as a key point of contact for clients across a variety of industries.

What You'll Do
Perform and review detailed audit procedures across a variety of balance sheet and income statement areas
Lead fieldwork for audit engagements in industries such as nonprofit, government, construction, healthcare, and more
Supervise and develop staff auditors, providing feedback and technical guidance
Prepare and review financial statements, internal control documentation, and supporting workpapers
Serve as a daily point of contact for clients and help resolve engagement questions
Monitor budgets and timelines and communicate any variances to managers
Apply current accounting and auditing standards (U.S. GAAP and GAAS) to audit engagements
Use audit software and data tools to enhance quality and efficiency
Maintain required CPE and stay current with professional developments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
CPA license (preferred) or actively pursuing CPA certification
Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting audit experience
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS
Experience supervising audit staff and managing fieldwork
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software (e.g., Caseware, ProSystem fx)
Ability to travel to client sites as needed
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in auditing government, nonprofit, hospitality, construction or real estate is a plus
Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a client-facing role
Interest in mentoring and supporting the professional growth of junior staff
